I like presents (doesn’t everyone?). I especially like surprises, and I don’t like to spoil them. Tell me you’ve gotten me a surprise or a Christmas present, and I’ll probably say something like, “awesome, I can’t wait to open it on Christmas morning!” This has occasionally presented a problem in the past, deflating the potential joy of someone who was expecting me to beg for the present now, or for hints, etc.

I’m kind of a jerk like that, I guess. 🙂

Photoshoots are sometimes surprises, too. Sometimes I have them all planned out with a model or client, and … well, they just go another direction. Yesterday’s shoot with Bria was like that. So was today’s with Abbie.

Don’t get me wrong, I like unwrapping surprises. But I like wrapping them up and tying them in a bow, too. …or a bow and handcuffs, when appropriate.

To repeat the disclaimer, this is a project about re-discovery. It’s about remembering who I am, what I’m about, what I love and what I do not. Fair warning, this project will be posted here rather than at my SFW site because there will be nudity from time to time. Some of it will be of me, some not, some artistic and pretty to look at, some just raw.

I don’t intend to think of something every day and then shoot it, though I may do that sometimes, too. But sometimes I will just shoot, and then find something about myself in the frames and post about that thing, whatever it is.

All my #365SelfDiscovery posts will be filed here.
