The Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit is fast approaching, so get registered!
I’m honored to once again, for the third year in a row, to be the Official Event Photographer for the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance‘s annual summit. Along with the American Diabetes Association’s NC Tour de Cure – Raleigh, this is one of my two really major event photography highlights of each year.
As with the TdC, I donate all my time and photos to the summit, free of charge. And as with the TdC, the summit very kindly puts me up in a hotel room for the duration of the event. But with that long bit of travel come expenses I need a little help with covering. To that end, I book a very limited number of private photo sessions during the summit. If you’re attending the summit (and really, why wouldn’t you be??) or even just in the area from August 13th to 16th, it would be a perfect time for you to book that really fun boudoir shoot with me that you’ve been wanting to do. And speaking of books, bring one along and join the club!
So, what is the Sexual Freedom Summit all about? I’ll let the Summit’s About page do the talking:
Woodhull Sexual Freedom Alliance is pleased to invite you to our sixth annual Sexual Freedom Summit – the event where everything comes together in spectacular conversations about sexual rights.
We are at a critical time as the pendulum of social change swings far to the right. We are going to have to work hard to keep the rights we already have while working to claim those rights not yet recognized. Our goal at the Summit is to send attendees back to their daily lives with the tools and the inspiration to create the change we want to see in our world.
The Sexual Freedom Summit features human rights activists, sexuality educators and researchers, professionals from the legal and medical fields, authors, sexual freedom movement leaders and organizational partners all working toward the time when sexual freedom is fully recognized as a fundamental human right.
This Summit is for EVERYONE interested in learning about the issues in the realm of sexual freedom, advancing their current knowledge and in gaining the tools to actually create the change we need to accomplish.
And I really need to make a special shout out to both Ricci at Woodhull and Joseph at Gorilly Graphics for this great full-page ad in the brochure. Thank you, you’re both extra awesome! I can’t wait to see the ad in print!
To repeat the disclaimer, this is a project about re-discovery. It’s about remembering who I am, what I’m about, what I love and what I do not. Fair warning, this project will be posted here rather than at my SFW site because there will be nudity from time to time. Some of it will be of me, some not, some artistic and pretty to look at, some just raw.
I don’t intend to think of something every day and then shoot it, though I may do that sometimes, too. But sometimes I will just shoot, and then find something about myself in the frames and post about that thing, whatever it is.
