Seduction Photography, by Louis Shackleton

Your Narrative, Photographed

Helen Hellfire came to see me yesterday. On meeting Helen, the first thing one might notice about her is that she’s 6′ 4″ tall. But if that’s all one notices about Helen, one misses the big picture.

Helen is also elegant.

Now Then

Helen is crazy sexy.

Just Damn

And Helen is cute and adorable.

Playful Hint

Helen rocked every look I gave her. She’d brought a very pretty corset with her, and I love how this shot turned out.

Corset Red and Black

And, of course, there had to be a shot for The Book Club.

Fifty Shades of Grey

Helen’s also into dark, creepy stuff, so I’m definitely going to try and have her back before Halloween. We have ideas. …dark, creepy ideas.

But yes, shooting Helen was also interesting and fun because she’s so tall. I’ve talked a bit before about the male gaze, and how I both play into that and subvert it, sometimes both at once. This might have been the first boudoir shoot I’ve ever done when I’ve had to work hard to play into it at all. Helen so commands the space in a room with just her presence that I sometimes found it challenging.

And I love a good, fun challenge.

To repeat the disclaimer, this is a project about re-discovery. It’s about remembering who I am, what I’m about, what I love and what I do not. Fair warning, this project will be posted here rather than at my SFW site because there will be nudity from time to time. Some of it will be of me, some not, some artistic and pretty to look at, some just raw.

I don’t intend to think of something every day and then shoot it, though I may do that sometimes, too. But sometimes I will just shoot, and then find something about myself in the frames and post about that thing, whatever it is.

All my #365SelfDiscovery posts will be filed here.
