I’ve been meaning to shoot this fire tower near my house for some time. There’s no real reason, I just like the way it looks. It’s old school. It’s rusting. It looks like it’s been there for a million years.
And it’s tempting. I want to put a bunch of naked people on the stairs for a shot. I want to climb the stairs myself, and see what I can see from the observation room at the top. I doubt I could climb all those steps anyway, but there’s a sign that says it’s manned 24 hours, and it’s right beside the highway, so I daren’t. I’ve never actually seen any vehicles in the lot, or people in the tower or accompanying trailer, though, so someday I just might.
For now I’ll settle for a pretty day with deep blue skies in the background.
For now.
