Portrait of Abbie

This is a portrait from a month or so ago when Abbie was here. I’ve been thinking about this pose and what sorts of variations can be done on the basic theme. I shot a nice one of Ygritte last year in this pose, and perhaps I’ll post that at some point for comparison. The lighting in that one was gentler, and there are some subtle, interesting differences in the pose itself.

I also just did a shoot this past Thursday that included its own variation on this pose, and with all three shots side by side on my editing monitor right now, I’m chewing hard on what makes each of the three so very unique. Perhaps I’ll do a whole series of just this pose…
