“Gimme a little more hip!”

I say that a lot while I’m shooting. Counter pose adds curvature to the body, and that gives a shot some interest, especially when juxtaposed against hard, straight lines. You’ll see that dichotomy a lot in my work, because I often do it deliberately, even in a boudoir setting. I’m a big fan of curves against lines.

I shot this yesterday morning while thinking about the blog, and nudity, and how long it had been since I’d really shown any skin of my own here, or done any self-portraits that were sexy or risqué in any way. I don’t like to go so long without getting naked in front of my own camera, I don’t like asking anyone else to do something I wouldn’t do myself.

There’s not really any great story or insight or confession behind this shot, just that. I hope you like my ass as much as I do.
