Travelogue: DC, Columbia, Nassau, Charlotte, and Back

I’ve been doing a bit of traveling lately. With Gypsy down for the moment in need of repairs, I had to take a train down to Columbia, SC to get to Beverly’s. I turned 50 last year, and she took me on a cruise to the Bahamas last week as a gift. It was quite an adventure, and I got in some relaxation time I really needed.

We first visited Nassau, then went snorkeling, which was cool as fuck. Best BFF Ever, and the best gift I could have asked for.

After that, she loaned me her car for the weekend to drive up to Charlotte for the Brain Tumor Race, and then I spent a few more days at her place with her and her family.

I took this shot on the train back to DC, where I’m now safely ensconced. I have almost enough money to get Gypsy back on the road, and I’m looking forward to traveling a bit again this summer. It won’t be as big an epic road tour as last summer, but it’ll be pretty epic on its own, I’m sure.

Anyway, that’s where I’ve been, and here’s where I’m at.
