Chipping Away At It

I went birding on the Sligo Creek Trail. I didn’t see anything unusual or especially cool or anything, but it felt good to get out and do it. I haven’t been out just to go birding in some time. I can’t even remember how long it’s been, in fact, and it’s the first eBird report I’ve submitted in forever. It was my first report from Montgomery County, Maryland, as well, and it’s always good to add a new county to the list.

I’m still chipping away at a few piles of shots from the road trip last year that need my attention, and I’m still chipping away at the Super Duper Secret Project on which I’m working. I’m also still chipping away at raising the money to get my car back on the road, though I’m almost there. (If you’d like to help with that, there’s a GoFundMe.)

In fact it currently feels like I’m chipping away at a lot of stuff in my life, little bits at a time, and slowly getting closer to tying up a bunch of loose ends and finishing a whole truckload of project-related stuff.

On that theme, I thought I’d post this shot I took while birding, appropriately enough of a Chipping Sparrow (Spizella passerina).
