The PNW has been good to me as far as getting better photos of particular birds. Back in July, I got much improved shots of a Black-capped Chickadee and of a Barred Owl. Then in September, I got a beautiful encore from another Barred Owl right out in our back yard.
I suppose you could say the shots I got a few weeks ago of a Snowy Owl improved in the sense that I’d never seen one to get pictures in the first place. It was an overcast, rainy day, so the pictures weren’t awesome. But last week, the PNW came through once again.
Damn, that’s a beautiful bird, and I’m just tickled to pieces to have gotten a chance to see it. Nicer shots are icing on the cake.
