If I have to choose a physical location to associate with the word ‘home’, it’d be Surf City, NC.
These days, feel-good stories seem few and far between, so I thought I should definitely share this one.
I decided the universe wasn’t happy with my being on the wrong side of the border.
We had a few laughs that involved a young family and a unicorn onesy that was not, shall we say, modestly arranged.
It was calming to just stand for a few minutes and watch the turquoise water rippling in the breeze.
I don’t talk about it much, but I’m disabled. I used to do lots of things I can no longer do, and among those things is swimming. Because of my neck injury, I can’t swing my arms over my head. I can hang out in a pool or at the beach, sure, but actual swimming is not possible anymore, so when Beverly suggested snorkeling, I was hesitant.
For those who missed the previous post, my best friend was taking me on a cruise to the Bahamas for a belated 50th birthday trip.
If, however, I had to choose one shot to represent a theme for the year, perhaps even the whole series of creek shots, I think it might be this one.
I wanted to save this one for near the end of the 2017 series.
Sometimes you just have to lay naked by the creek and get some sun, y’know?
I was considering opening up comments on the blog.

…but it’s probably sharks.
If there’s something about this pose Sarah is striking in Abrams Creek, there may be a very good reason for that.
I’d love to hear the stories behind her body art, somehow I think there’s a few good ones in there.
I could shoot Hunter all day long, if I had the time.
She was bold, and confident, and maybe just a little bit bratty, in fact.
Jenn and I had a great, if short, time in the creek at Sex Geek Summer Camp this past summer.
Each time I feature D on the website, it seems like the shots get a little bit sassier.
